Long Range Transportation Plan Development: Public Input Needed

The ROCOG (Rochester-Olmsted Council of Governments) Board is looking for Public input prior to beginning work on the Plan Update by holding a series of 4 evening public meetings. The ROCOG planning area includes all of Olmsted County, to include the City of Rochester, along with state and county roads and bike trails connecting the small cities in the county.

The federal government requires that metro areas with populations greater than 50,000 update their Long Range Transportation Plan every 5 years.

Here in Rochester and Olmsted County, this effort is coordinated by the Rochester-Olmsted Council of Governments (ROCOG) which is staffed by the Rochester-Olmsted Planning Dept.

The current 2035 Long Range Transportation Plan may be reviewed at: http://www.co.olmsted.mn.us/pl­anning/transportation_plans.as­p located near the upper right corner under the Olmsted County Access Management Ordinance.

Meetings will be held in:

Cascade Large Conference Room at 6:30pm in the County Public Health Building #2100

Note: Presentations to the ROCOG Board And public will run 30 To 45 minutes
